Lost & Found

I was having a clean up in my garage today. I found a box, couldn?t remember what was in it opened it up and there they were. I?ve misplaced those for over fifteen years. The swingarm boss things for a triple swingarm.

But then I opened up a black plastic bag that was in the box, and...... ??? Where did they come from? Look, think, look, think .......  (dunno)
A never used set of Koni shocks, 10mm eyes.

Maybe I got them with the 79 Jota I bought 30 years ago? Phil?

Not me Chris.
Just those original Corte Cossi Struts (whatever) and the Fournales.
But hey I had a lot of bits and pieces back then.
Good find.
Keep looking!

#44 is the spacer between the two swing arm bushes.

Shall I be the pedant?
No 44 is the actual spindle for the bronze bush type swingarm, it goes the full width.
I think you're talking about #27 in the needle roller setup with the separate inner races.
:D

I was digging around for something entirely different today, but found a Brembo alloy master cylinder I'd forgotten about. Buried deep, hadn't seen it for years.

OK, shall I be more pedantic?  It's not a spacer or a spindle. It's a sleeve.

??? It?s  a spacer, Mr Padantic. It spaces out the bearing hard shafts, so you can torque up the pivot spindle without crushing the BJesus out of everything. Except the felt washers.

I may start another thread ?lost? and if I ever find where I put the set of Chott yokes off my old 500 racer, the set of clocks off an old, Spanish import, MK2 Montjuic, the other magnesium fork leg to make up the pair etc, etc I can then report back on this thread...

I'm up for that one, Andy!
In my case: a full set of brightwork for my TLS back brake and a set of white rubber strips for a Laverda rear carrier.
Took them off, years ago, intending to get some chroming done.
I know where they were, before I extended/rebuilt my garage, damned if I can find them, now.
