Lost & Found

Found the sixty Space X satellites , traveling in a row  tonight , quite surreal,

Gonna be 40,000 eventually , should  be stunning , Sky Net , is watching you

Other items I have ?lost? over the years is a genuine F500 frame # 3017, that I foolishly sold with a registration # I can?t remember, the engine from the same bike that I think someone did, unbeknownst to me at the time, a switch to a different engine, a LZ175 (lost in storage a long time ago) and another 500 frame. However, the latter item turned up years later at Richard Slater?s place and for the second time I had to buy it from him, as he had acquired it legitimately, as it was he who had sold it to me in the first place!  :(

managed to see 4 following one another the other night  :D

Still looking for that 10 mm socket  and the nut off the choke mechanism on the Formula

i lent someone a Hawkwind album which has not been returned

The Hawkwind album will eventually come back to you, having passed through the hands of about 40 people. Each of them adding a scratch, reefer burn or a tea cup stain. That just seems to be the rule.

I have got a lost with no found my Warren Brown tension wrench bloody hide and seek I am sick of it!!!!!

I loaned a factory crank locking tool for 750 SOHC twins to someone that I lost touch with a good few years ago, never did get it returned despite pestering. The recently produced ones that Keith P organised work well enough but are not at all nice "in the hands" and to the eyes. GOOD MONEY PAID IF YOU HAVE ONE FOR SALE. The same goes for the 180 triples, but I never had a factory one, I made one from 20mm box and then bought one of the recently made ones, both work fine, but are not "art" same applies GOOD MONEY.......

only last week I was talking with a non ILOC owner who has had a triple for about 30 years, he sent the bike and engine to be refurbished, rebuilt, refinished etc. the "restorer" died (a few years later mind) and this guy got very nearly all of his bike back with much paint and chrome done, but not assembled, the engine had been (allegedly)  sub'd out to a rebuilder of know good quality in the mid West/North of UK and is now lost. The rebuilder says that if he had ever had it, then it would certainly have been returned to the restorer, but at the deceased restorers premise there is no sign of it. yet another case of dealer/owner procrastinations and non completion, but in this case not involving any of the current people.

If you or anyone you know has had bikes or parts or engines or whatever at any of our dealer friends for anything that you as the owner think is too long a time, then GET ON THE CASE.

I have a fool-proof trick.
Buy a new one, and then the old one magically appears...

Looked and emptied, the box twice , and spread the stuff on the garage floor so you could see it all, and , still i only found it on the third attack  , Hateful Fairies , tricky little muckers
