Lucas or CEV indicators on an SF1?

An interesting post where I learned something again.

As you can see from my first posts on the subject, I would have sworn black and blue that the first models were all equipped with CEV indicators.

However, the experts pointed in the correct direction. If I now compare CEV and Lucas, it must have been Lucas indicators that were mounted to my SF1. I'm staggered though, how similar they are.

But the set of CEV indicators that a Laverda friend gave me for a very fair price will be fitted to my 3c this winter!
:)

Cheers,
Jo

I will be happy if it should be lucas. Much more affordable and easier to get hold of. I've already got two that came with a pannier rack off an old triumph. That was a blooming bargain. Good condition krauser panniers, not the bmw style with the cut out on the top, and a tubular rack for £50

Probably a better product too. I don't have any Lucas indicators, but I have a pile of busted CEV. Those plastic chrome CEV indicators are cheaply made and nasty, although expensive to buy. They're quite fragile. Don't tighten the lens screws or you'll either strip the plastic threads or (more likely) crack the thin-walled little thread bosses. I think all of mine have been epoxied up and re-drilled/tapped.

TGC470L is one of the only two drummers imported by Slaters! one was wrecked beyond repair, and broken up, the other ran on for a few years but blew up, and was forever after plagued with grotty crankcase welding, fitted with discs, and passed through John Blundells mits, I think to Australia.

I wonder how many drummers there are restored or usable in the UK and how many are in the shed "waiting"
