Suddenly taken back to Toronto 1979, not long been there when guys I worked with dragged me down to the Gasworks on Young street to see some up and coming band . Mmm, not bad I thought until half way through they played this and I thought hang on a minute :).

Ahh, think I'v got that, Time will tell :) Two sprogs back from Uni and both too hung over to help ::)

Drikko,

After a hard days working on the Lav, or doing the vacuuming in my case, I love listening to this record and try to educate my kids.

Best Lou Reed album, well Lou Reed Live is pretty good, was Take No Prisoners. I sang this song all the way to Sydney, I woke up at night humming it and then sang it all the way back. Been driving me insane since 1978.

Joes Garage is the only Frank record I own - I love that song, don't play it to my kids yet.

Saw the Angels back in 78? supporting David Bowie. Great band and really blew the crowd away when I saw them. They're still kicking on, good on em.

Well there you go, I thought you had to strip out the crap and just leave the video number.

The David Bowie part of the concert was so tedious we left, only really went for the Angels.

Agree, a bit of overkill. The bit I'm glad I stayed for was when they played the song Station to Station. It was so loud that the old Lang Park grandstand was vibrating and shaking as the sound rebounded. Worth the temporary deafness.

I had a rare treat last night. Saw a band called the Funky Meters in a small venue in Auckland NZ. One of the band members is Art Neville (Neville Brothers). I rate them as a once in a lifetime viewing in this country, and an inspired find.

Cheers
