My last Laverda?

very very strongly agree with Marnix about triplex chains, and why would you want two BSA Bantam (if you even know what one of those is) chains inside your primary case, they wear at different rates but get adjusted as one, this means that there is only one bantam chain driving after a few miles, I have seen a few broken twin chains, but you just know that the two of them did not break at the same time, when the first one brakes, there is then swarf and debris circulating while the remaining one does the work until BANG, it goes and you lose all drive.Honda did much the same thing with early sand cast CB750's and it got them in a lot of trouble. Norton Commando chains fit well and they are a bit too long, not that hard to shorten and even (if you dare) spring links are available, the chains being a fraction of the cost of what a Laverda dealer will charge you for something that might even be inteneded for opeing elavator doors.
CLEM

no, the original RGS/SfC spockets just have two rows of teeth and the bigger one is soft casted iron and loosing its teeth

The IWIS duplex is the way to go, 1/3 of the weight and by far a better quality than any triplex chain available, [according to Andychain]
They survive in Reds rocketship motors. So why use triplex when a far better duplex is available, unless you have the 120 sprockets missing the middle row.
I'll be fitting one in my 750SFC when I get around to changing the clutch plates with Kevlar plates
