Hello people, boring bit fost, I don't own yet a 3c, when we win lottery I will, own 675r Triple at present.
Ok, I'm after as much info as possible on a specific bike, my father brought in or around late 74 early 75 a 3c prototype , 1 of only 2 apparently imported at the time , did have a photo yrs ago with myself on if , wondered if it is still alive , drum brake , 9" headlight , metallic silver/greenish , my mother recalls . He ordered through Fred Holdcroft motorcycles , Stoke on Trent, who collected it from London , he only had it few mths before been knocked off, mentioned to Laverda stand bloke few yrs at Stafford show, his ears pricked when I mentioned it,
Any info is muchly appreciated, am aware he paid around a £1k for it at the time, they terraced house only £3k 18mths earlier,
Cheers

I take it you don't have anything like a photo or a document with a frame number or registration or anything? It would help a lot.
It would be interesting to pin it down.

My friend (now sadly passed) bought a damaged 3c around that time. It had been crashed and repaired and painted red. He had it repainted its original silvery/blue colour very similar to the colour the old triumph speed twins and bath tub thunderbirds were. He later sold it and bought a brand new 1978 gold Jota from Geoff Daryn motorcycles in Sandwich,Kent. He said he later saw the bike and the owner proudly said he had repainted it its original colour RED. My friend then informed him it was only painted red when it was repaired and it was in fact originally silver/blue.
