Jumping out of your skin, Paul! Looks great!
Hi VinceIs it a 2 piece suit, if so how long is the connecting zip.
There are several makes of airbag equipped with the excellent French In Emotion box, with a 30 hour battery and a GPS. In case of accident, the GPS gives your localisation for emergency services if you don't answer a call on your mobile.Hi Peder
my new Ricondi kangaroo hide suit has been built to work with the Alpinestars Tech Air 5 air bag vest. There has not been any Tech Air 5 stock available from any of my local shops and I want to try one on for sizing. I also have looked at the french Helite air bag product.
The big difference is the Tech Air 5 is electronically triggered and its battery has to be kept charged, with a battery life of about 30 hours apparently. The Helite product is triggered mechanically from a tether. The Helite product looks attractive for street riding, no battery to have to worry about.

Alpinestars has now also come out with a Tech Air 10 with extended protection down to the hips,( https://www.alpinestars.com/pages/tech-air#tech-air®-10 ) which is being primarily recommended for track use apparently, I phoned the Canadian supplier who tells me it is not yet available in Canada, and the Tech Air 5 is presently in short supply due to "supply chain issues".....
for track use I would probably go with the Tech Air 10. For street use at this point I am likely going to go with whichever of the Tech Air 5 or Helite Turtle 2 I can actually find in stock to buy......
Hi VinceThe reason why I asked about the zip length is I have seen 6inch ones in the middle of the back, completely useless and have added zips to all my riding gear to connect pants to jackets I was trying for full circumference, but not so easy when you're my size. I ended up with Appox 3/4 and that works ok for me.
Blimey. Even crashing is getting high-tech these days. I can't afford any of that stuff. If I fall off a bike I just go thud onto the road and lie there groaning. In case of accident, the GPS gives your localisation for emergency services if you don't answer a call on your mobile.
Hi VinceHi Vince
I will have a look when I get home from work, and report back. I was so excited to try the suit on when it arrived I really did not check the zipper length.......
I've found a few like that when I was working. Dead in a ditch in the morning. Maybe they were still alive and just died slowly during the night in the dark and cold?Blimey. Next thing you know, they'll be filling the inflatable bags with helium that'll float you in the air so you don't even hit the road. And if you have the misfortune to hit something else and hurt yourself, a little propeller will deploy and the GPS will guide the blimp suit to fly you to the nearest casualty department.
I can't wait for the Star Trek style transporter suit to come out. As soon as the suit senses a potential hazard, it transports you to a safe place.
