That's a beauty. What is the rolling chassis?Nothing wrong with orange Laverdas, don't listen to them naysayers.

Thanks! My dream bike when I was a youngster was a Triumph Trident with the Norman Hyde big bore kit, so this RGA Jota is a good equivalent, except it won't need fettling quite so often. Many Three Cross prepped bikes were breathed on- looks like a keeper, congrats!
So you are going with OrangeA lot of work has been done since I posted this thread. The frame and ancillaries have been powder coated, the engine is away being given a make over, and everything that is chrome, has been rechromed. I've started working on refurbing the many parts that haven't been replaced or renewed. The starter motor has come under scrutiny today, and it looks like the commutator is going to require a skim, as when you put a steel rule across it, there's a discernable dip in it where the brushes run. The rest of it, apart from being a touch mucky inside, is looking in good order.
Rightly so.I'm bored with orange Laverdas.
So does that mean you are moving house???I have decided to go with orange, apparently it's the new black...
I have also joined the ILOC..turns out the Chairman is about 10 minutes away from my village..
Noooo! We've spent 5 years turning this 215 year old cottage from an half-ugly, dilapidated place into our lovely looking home, but more importantly I've just got my workshop/mancave sorted out!So does that mean you are moving house???![]()
The original colour was orange, but it was painted black by Three Cross when it was fitted with a Sprint fairing. The black looked okay, but is not a colour that looks clean for very long ( I have a black Triumph Thruxton, and it's a dust magnet), and since the non- OE black was in poor condition, and needed a total repaint, orange was my choice.I'm bored with orange Laverdas.
I like silver ( I had the wheels powdercoated silver), but the RGA Sprint only came in metallic blue/orange/black.Silver is the new orange
It has RGS1000 side panel badges, so that was understandable.Thought it was an RGSthey look good in silver. Sprint - defo orange is nice for Sprint.
Just found this thread WTF, Yep Hobbs 3c was orange from new.Hobbsy's bike. Bit of history there ...
Gary Mac's 3C was orange too, mine was black. Those 3C's all lived under the same roof for a while.Motorcycle mags never get the facts right, 3c also came in orange
