Well it's supposed to be a 3CL but I would take a gamble on it being a Jota. Someone might be in for a nice surprise if they get it cheap enough.

Seems like a nice, unmolested bike.
It appears to have Ceriani parallel fork yokes, so perhaps it is indeed a Jota, and a Slater one at that.
Also, wasn't gold the colour of the 78 Jotas?
 
It?s being auctioned by Bonhams so description has to be accurate, so if you?re after a 3cl and later find out it?s a Jota then you in theory have a case against Bonhams to have your money back!
 
It will make a lot more than three grand, always assuming that it runs and drives as good as it looks (front brake hoses excepted)

reading the description, it isn't running, hasn't run in a few years and needs recommissioning, but still looks much better than a 3,000 GBP bike. If I was local to the bike I would be bidding...

I think total is ?17,700 Pat with both premiums,someone contacted Richard who confirmed it then told Bonhams.Madness.
 
Also Keith nairn pointed out the orange Jota within the dodgy number range has a damaged front frame.?17110 .

So the Lav market is strong for Jotas I guess,there is a very nice 3C here in the states for $15k, someone told the owner whose husband recently passed away, that it was only worth $9k, I  wouldn't take anything less than $16k for mine,I guess I'll have it for a long. time then, which is fine by me
