Looks fine to my eyes, it is a 40-year-old motorcycle that looks to have been ridden and not a buffed and puffed trophy. Faded instruments, they all fade eventually.

IIRC, at one time MB offered 4 different shades of black. Can BMW beat that? A triple black 560SEC was once standard issue for Hollywood producers, but it had to be the right black. When they began trading them in they were great buys for a few years, alas the good ones are long gone.

As far as I can tell from looking at the street, cars only come in three colors today: silver, black and white.
It’s all down to dealers having to preorder cars: they order the least offensive colors to sell them as quickly as possible .
