I reckon a lot of bikes must spin up coming out of turn 2. I was doing the same on my Jota last time I had a fang around Broadford. It's a bit of a crest as the turn opens out onto the straight, and the suspension unloads as you power out of the turn. You can feel the bike start to drift as the rear breaks traction. It gave me a bit of a scare the first time it happened. But with decent tyres that don't suddenly let go, you soon get used to the feeling and then you start to enjoy it. I wasn't brave enough to push it too far though. Broadford is a great little track.Matt was spinning up bad out of turn 2 but otherwise no drama
our issue was a bad rear tyre, we normally get 150 klms out of a rear tyre, we change to a new rear and front before qualifying, do 4 to 5 laps in qualifying and then 4 x 25 klm races at the end of which rear tyre is toastI reckon a lot of bikes must spin up coming out of turn 2.

20221115_163559[1] I would call that a very successful year Red. I reckon we are all looking forward to next year's instalment.our issue was a bad rear tyre, we normally get 150 klms out of a rear tyre, we change to a new rear and front before qualifying, do 4 to 5 laps in qualifying and then 4 x 25 klm races at the end of which rear tyre is toast
New tyre we installed at Broadford lasted to the 3rd lap of the first race and then it had no traction left at all, every time Matt touched the throttle on a right hand corner tyre spun up and Broadford is a right hand track

as to your comment above, Broadford is a shit of a track, prefer Phillip Island, Eastern Creek or Hidden Valley any day
Recap of our year, we went to 6 meetings and we have 4 races per meeting
Out of 24 races, we won 21, had 2 x DNF and 1 x DNS as we could not be bothered doing the last race at Broadford, as above rear tyre was shot and we were that far in front in the championship in both F1 and F4 we decided to pack up and start making miles towards home
Broadford is only a 3,500 klm round trip from home so decided to hit the road and knock over 4-500 klms on Sunday
Out of the 6 tracks we raced at this year we broke the lap record at 5 tracks, missed record at Morgan Park as it was wet all weekend but we already had that record anyway
What is next, decided to do the series again next year but am going to modify the fuck out of the Mule even further to see if I can get her above 140 rear wheel horsepower, know how to do it, just need to order some more custom parts for her and do a bunch of machining
Back up bike can stay the way she is at 132 rear wheel hp and be Miss Reliable in the event the Mule breaks down, which she will
Have more competition entering F4 next year, is going to be interesting, F4 is supposed to be the Heritage Class so for old bikes but all our competition is from bikes made in 2017 - 2021, they are allowed to race because at a distance they look old
Example is a new 1200 Thruxton with variable cam timing, fuel injection, traction control, engine management etc and we still beat the fuckers
Pisses the owners off when the Laverda's smoke them

What can I say, congratulations on another year of racing success mate, I wish I had the creative energy you had for sure as gaining more HP generally hands out another challenge that you deal with in your stride.our issue was a bad rear tyre, we normally get 150 klms out of a rear tyre, we change to a new rear and front before qualifying, do 4 to 5 laps in qualifying and then 4 x 25 klm races at the end of which rear tyre is toast

Well you sure are glutton for punishment Red, but all power to your elbow for sticking with it for another year.
