Palmelli SFC value??

Interesting looking crank work - the centre webs appear to be spaced further apart (gap between middle mains and slingers), maybe to compensate for the narrower rods (where the double row SF ones used to sit). Spacer on the outer side. Can't see what sort of crank centre it has (splined SF or SFC)?

Very much resembles one of Phil Todds cranks. If not his work, one of his pupils. Center part was smooth SFC and Phil used a mixture of triple and twin webs I believe.

Just seen this. The bike being discussed may possibly not be a Palmelli. Steve used SF3's to get the rear disc and cast wheels. It may well be he did an SF2 or so - or perhaps the owner wanted wire wheels. most had std Sf motors - Stuart Clark did some cranks with 90° (ish) conversions using the std Sf cranks - not sure if he did any with my method of using a "big centre pin" and triple inner webs. This looks like how the CND 860 of Marnix's is set up - the spacers on the rods are necessary when using triple or late SFC big end dimension rods - I have a the same set up in my 750SF. The "Palmelli 878cc SFC" was a one off - it is a 270° configuration too. Photos are of a std Palmelli SFC rep and my "Palmelli SFC878" - Regards - Phil

Re the wire wheels comment, I note from the price list of the Palmelli Laverda SFC replica which I downloaded from the internet, that the spoked wheel option with triple disc ie. 2 front and 1 rear was an extra £1175 plus VAT on top of the cost of £7950, so perhaps that explains why most had the cast wheels!!!1
