Are you sure about that? At higher revs it should take less force through the belt to supply a constant load. Unless there is an issue with drag from the bearings, or centrifugal fling of the belt as it rounds the generator pulley?Belt will more than likely slip when running at higher revs with electrical load (ie lights on).
