Parts for older Orlandi/Paioli fuel taps?

I'm looking to reassemble into working order two (or more?) pairs of the early fuel taps that had the clear sediment trap bowl under the outlet banjo.

I have not yet found a source of the filter element tube on the top of the taps up into the tank, nor of the clear plastic bowls.

Does anyone know a source of these or suitable alternatives?

I do understand the leaks risks with all those additional seals and know that I'd be better off with just whole new taps that resist alcohol etc. but I do want the two target bikes to look as original as possible while being functional!

Then it would be best to ask Wolfgang. Afaik he has a lot of Eagle parts.
But consider he'll not be back in Canada before the 10th of may. Currently he's
here in Germany.

Those taps came on the Benelli 750 Sei. You could try :- https://www.benelliparts.de/index.php Cheers

As well fitted to Benelli 650 Tornado. I inquired years ago about the clear plastic bowls and
if memory serves Burian could supply a different petcock that would work. I'm guessing those
plastic bits are as unobtainable as the colored plastic crap warning lights Ducati used on MHR
and Pantah/Darmah instrument clusters. Unobtainium.

After trying many sources and then asking here for any potential alternatives, I'm resigned to trying to make 8mm filter tubes and the bottom bowls myself. I'm looking at soldering brass screen mesh around brass tube threaded to fit the tap tops and turning from polycarbonate rod for the bowls. So it may be a while but if successful with no leaks, I'll show the results.
I'm currently experimenting with different length reserve tubes to give a reasonable reserve range with each of the fibreglass AE Sport tank, Laverda GT tank and Laverda "humpback" 750S tanks.
With all due respect Ernesto, from several pictures in the first introduction road test of the 750S in Motociclismo November 1969, these Orlandi taps with clear bowls were originally fitted to those bikes, they're not a US-specific American Eagle fitment.
I did find a pair of BAP petcocks with similar banjo and clear bowl that may have been fitted new to Ducati Darmah but the parts are not interchangeable with the Orlandi taps.

Thank you to all for the suggestions, keep them coming if you know of possible suppliers or possible substitutes as to date no success.

I have a French market GT with those plastic tap bowls.

If you have a few extra inches of polycarbonate rod, I'd be interested in a couple of clear tap bowls.

My Benelli 900 Sei had the same fuel taps. The plastic bowls distorted and they leaked like a sieve. I replaced them with a different type of tap. I considered making new plastic bowls on the lathe, but it was never a high priority. So it hasn't happened yet.

Those Ducati warning lights are now available, and better than new with LEDs fitted. There expensive but now newly made in OZ I think including the impossible to find Neutral light and all the rest of them

Yes.I bought a set from Bevel Rubber at a cost of USD$250 plus postage. First rate quality as usual. Does not sell the individual
lights as far as I know.....oops,AFAIK..

I've been trying to get my local machinist to turn the plastic bowls but we're not having much success as the turning inside and out leaves them opaque and polishing doesn't seem very effective. Now working on getting my mini-lathe (1940s vintage) running soon and will try myself as a learning exercise.

Looking at 3D printing but most of the readily available home 3D printer filaments do not seem very resistant to ethanol and gasoline.

Last resort seems to be to turn them from alumin(i)um but of course then they'd be opaque.

The Benelli parts guys in Germany show these taps but have not responded to my enquiries.

I got a pointer to some similar used taps for sale (as centre here) but still trying to refurbish the originals like those on the left (top square body as photo has oriented itself) here, any leads on clear plastic bowls or anyone remanufacturing these will be appreciated.

Yes, I know I should just buy new taps but................. (and those originals are exquisite :))

Have you tried this one, too? http://www.benelli-bauer.com/ ?

I bought a pair from Benelli Bauer years ago for my 900 Sei, but was disappointed when they arrived because they were just normal fuel taps without the see-through plastic bowl. The original taps on the bike had the plastic bowl.

I don't reckon 3D printing would be any good even if you could find a fuel-resistant printing medium. They need to be transparent like glass and I can't see that happening with a printed product.

Actually, I reckon glass would be a good material to make them out of if you could find someone who could do it. Any glass blowers on the forum?
