While replacing the needle jet and needle,
(Phf32 sfc1000) The new AB265 don’t screw in as far as the old ones,
The old ones measured approx -11mm from the edge where the main jet holder meets the carb body, to the jet, new ones are only 6 or 7mm so sit lower in the carb
I assume all 3 should be approx the same,
But can’t see a reason why the difference,
Anyone seen this ?

Very often, the thread in the carb body requires re -cutting to allow the new jet to seat properly. M7x0.75!

And they need to sit at the same height otherwise carburation will be off and hard to set.

I've corrected my mistake... it's M7x0.75.

Apparently currently available jets are machined to different tolerances than the older types. When installing, a definite stop should be felt, not just a gradual tightening.
