Plug fowling from cold

...it took until page 3 to get to the real problem with fowling... so now that THAT'S taken care of there's no need for me to continue...

Fowling? AKA Bird Strike, definitely wrecks jet engines big time.
Generally just knocks the blades out of the fan / compressor, which then shake themselves to pieces in short order.
Have you got 3m long flames coming out the exhaust? :o If so, that could be your problem.
I never heard it upsets the igniters, though.

Ok.... eventually solved it.  And now I feel like a complete dumbarse.  It had the plug fouling problem right from when I first got the bike. I figured it was just a blocked air filter so I put in a new Unifilter from Slaters. That didn't solve it but it did eliminate it from the equation...... didn't it? .... No. Bloody Unifilter had so much oil in it I had simply replaced one blocked filter with new blocked filter. Washed it out with petrol and Bob's your Auntie... problem solved. Of course, now I wish I had read the thread on air filters first. It does warn of that.

Well done
happened to me too at the same time the carb linkage bushes needed replacing took me on a goose chase for a while that one
