Rear sprocket

I just measured a couple of sprockets. The centre hole measured 122.85mm. So I'd guess 123mm nominal ID, allowing for me not holding the digital vernier straight across a diameter. 4 x 10mm bolt holes on 140 PCD

I have an unused spare 42T sprocket if it's any use. It's solid steel without any lightening holes so it's about as heavy as a Laverda rear sprocket can get, unless you make one out of uranium. Nothing to stop you milling out a bunch of holes though.

Thanks Mr D - just checking with supersprox the price on one - the stealth series sprockets have an aluminium carrier with a steel chain ring riveted to the outside

Well thats interesting, as these rear sprockets are hard to see with the chain guard plus the chain covering most of it I have had a couple of multiday rides spoiled with suddenly noticing either damaged or worn out alloy sprockets mid-ride. So I now run a steel rear sprocket, there pretty heavy so having most of the sprocket alloy but having the outer bit with steel teeth would be a great compromise wight and strength-wise if I have what you're saying right.

Hi Cam, I'll take it off your hands, email me.

Hello Vince, yep you*re right - I fitted the supersprox stealth rear sprocket to my Ducati couple of years ago - supersprox don't do an off the shelf item for a 3CL, however, the have a customer service where they will produce to your dimensions. Feedback was super-quick; got their offer today and paid me money (euro 80) - they've promised a 3 to 7 week delivery - suppose it depends on when they have enough different sprockets to make a production run worthwhile. Will keep you posted.

Hi Russ, if you are looking for a complete chain and sprocket kit for your 1000 3CL - here you can get for a nice price:
Ciao, Gert
Thanks Gert, that's quite a good deal they have - already had a front sprocket up when I was in England last year, chain I ordered last week from LOUIS (they have reduced prices for DID chains at the moment) & I have just ordered my SUPERSPROX rear. Let's see how it works out ;)

Well ....... that looks good ....... I suppose the outer sprocket is a standard size and just the inner fitting is bike specific? That would be a very nice option indeed.

Jim
Looks like it was anodized and then the holes & slots machined in, sort of confirming what you say Jim...
