RGS Executive project available in spring of 2026

I bought it used for $3250……. Hint, hint!
A steal for some lucky bloke (or lady over 5'10"). I sincerely hope you get a better offer. I never thought I would see the day when Laverdas would bring less than an old CB500/550. Good luck with the sale.

There is no reserve. If it isn’t sold, it’s going to the landfill. We give up our storage in a month and that’s it.
Your bike will sell. Pic please when able of decal on rear fender under seat & did you find the neck tag? I realize you have a lot going on so I don't mean to pester you.

We have been hosting a procession of friends the past week, so I’ll get to the bike in a day or so.

Here are the pictures that were requested. The first two inverted for some reason, the last four are of the Corbin seat that I bought from Tim Parker through an advert in the Recycler paper in LA. The fender sticker shows that it is an Executive.IMG_3729.jpegIMG_3730.jpegIMG_3731.jpegIMG_3732.jpegIMG_3733.jpegIMG_3734.jpegIMG_3739.jpegIMG_3738.jpeg

Where did the $12K go in the so called restoration? Forks max $500 to recondition, carbs about the same. Why a Motogadget Unit? If the wire harness is OK, a waste of money! No mention of any engine work and the vids taken are not a of a cold engine. Several details, easy to get right, neglected. Even in Europe, where the 550 K1 was never offically sold, a better example will never sell for more than € 6K.

More people know Honda than Laverda, more people have had a Honda than a Laverda, so Hondas sell more easily, and for more than a Laverda.
Exactly the same phenomenon as washing powder adds.
All about exposure and numbers.

Talk about a polished turd...generic UJM. Stumbled onto a website with an article that is downright
diabolical. Seriously the information uncovered relating to the whole collector vehicle scene is almost
unbelievable. One parent company VERY well known controls the majority of American auction, evaluation,
publishing, events etc. Find a site on YouTube entitled "Guys With Rides" and the episode roughly titled
"Barret Jackson Owned By WWE and UFC". I am by NO means a conspiracy theorist but the information
the site owner provides that would enable anyone to verify the financial transactions over the last five or
six years to me is irrefutable. All of these deals done in stages and below the radar result in our current
Bring A Trailer ad selling a nothing special Honda at a HUGE overvalued selling price. P.T. Barnum was right.
"There Is a Sucker Born Every Minute" . I am also wary of ever dealing with any UK based auction houses.
The usual ploy is establishing a pre-auction value that ANYONE knows is pure fabrication. Caveat Emptor.

Old bike magazines? I love old bike magazines! My bid is now $2800. You're getting out of Dodge soon & I'll need to arrange transport...

So far, your’s is the highest firm/public offer, however there are one or two interested people that have messaged me in private. No firm offers from them yet.

I would like to have the bike removed by May 15 if at all possible since we leave California on the 19th.

I also have a box or two of early Octane magazines, some in bindings that you can have if you want. I’m keeping the complete bound set of Supercar Classics!

Is my SFC 750 still registrable in Cal Dave?
Last registered in 89 according to my # Plate. Actually you last registered for me. Rode it in West Oz for a couple of years on that Cal plate. Every year you would sent me the new rego sticker for the plate.
Now that's cool-

I have a bike that’s been ridden on a currently registered California plate in Europe every year since 1998. I’ve been the rider since 2006. 😄🤪

Insurance used to be super cheap, like €28 for a month. Now it’s about €100 but is still fine if it’s only a month you need to buy.

I find insurance inexpensive for 'collector' status. Registration used be...
Non Laverda disclosure: I noticed you also own one of (350 odd) LeMans outliers. A forum member in Canada has or had one. I, like last owner bought it to 'backdate' a year or customize. A couple rides and a couple weeks later the penny dropped. What a hoot!

I have less than three weeks to find a home for this. So far there have been inquiries, but no real offers, the last number out there was $3500…..but I will accept any offer that gets it out of here.

My $2800 offer is a real offer.
