RGS Frame

Maybe consider an Aprilia 660 Tuono as well. 183kg and 95bhp.
Yes, the Tuono is very much to my liking vs the sports model. I’d even consider the 457 if they made a derestricted Factory version. If the output was proportional to the 660, that would be about 60hp in a lighter chassis. Sounds like a fun bike for Sunday rides.

I for one would want something with a more relaxed riding-position (higher bars), especially for a weekend or more of riding. But that is just me, right? ;-)

Hi Andy.
Yes heavy frame,

Yes, you had to build some new ones in light tubes, my Spaceframe frame weighs: 11Kg, and my Honda RCB 1000 frame: 10K

Well it's basically done. New lightweight (replica) frame, alloy swinging arm, 17inch wheels (engine raised in frame!), titanium and even a ceramic bearing used. I weighed individual items and ended up with 170.82kg, checkout file - I dare say 175kg would be more realistic . I'm at Mallory Park testing 16/17 August, if time allows and their weigh bridge is OK I'll check.
Competitive action looks likely now from 2026.

Hi Andy, did you ever think about having an adjustable swing arm pivot incorporated into your new frame build? What swing arm did you use, looks a lot like a Kawasaki Zephyr one from the photos, please correct me if I’m wrong 😂. Are your external engine covers structural or simply covers over the original alloy ones. Wishing you well for the new season of racing😊👍

I saw on Facebook they used my Jackshaft through the swingarm idea for a wider rear wheel….. I so should have put a patent on that one.
Herman used a jackshaft through the swingarm pivot to change to a left hand chain drive as the Honda single sided swingarm he had was set up for left hand chain

The bike looks very purposeful, a serious racer. BTW, I thought they insisted on a full-length sump catch tank under the bike these days.

Hi, I didn't , mainly based on the fact that the rules state replica frame allowed only!

Hi, Yeah didn't fit it.
