Rgs Rear Shocks

The shock absorber man wants to know the eye diameter for the RGS shocks. I think it's 12mm but and I can't remember for sure (frame is still at the painter's shop).

Can anyone confirm?

I went and measured them dickhead, Rgs is 10, jota is 12

Might have been a 120 Jota.

When I swapped the yss"s off the jota to the Seth African I remember that I had to get them resleeved as the whole was too big

But I did measure them, promise and all that....

Just to clarify Cam, the IKONs mounted on my RGS use a sleeve in the eye, I assume you require the diameter of the mounting bolt, not the diameter of the shocky eye.

Yeah, the mounting bolt. The suspension bloke will provide whatever sleeves are needed to suit the shocky eye.

Right Cam, confirmed that the top bolt diameter is 10mm, as Cosi quoted. Assume the lower (swingarm) bolt is the same, do you need comfirmation?

Regarding the YSS: I run them on the Jota without any issue at all and with perfect handling and road holding, no difference to the Wilbers from my perspective. Never had ?hlins, so I can not comment. but WAY better than Koni ever were...

BUT: I am quite heavy in comparison to Andre f.e., and that might make a big difference. The heavier springs do fit me very well where they gave Andre issues.

Rear shock threads tend to get a bit like oil threads, or tyre threads, each has his fave.All I can say is that having Wilburs on my Jota, though they are very pricey, is not something I intend to change!bootiful things they are too...the piggy back ones.
