I don't use it myself, but your question got me curious. I went to the SeaFoam website. I am left wondering exactly what "
organic petroleum ingredients" are. Follow the thread below for answers from SeaFoam itself.
What is Sea Foam made of?
seafoamworks.com
I do use "Marvel Mystery Oil". My dad used it. Been around a long time. I don't know what is in it but it is a pretty red colour. Rather than slag off your choice of SeaFoam I googled a bit more and found this
toolknows.com
and my personal favourite "snake oil" is
gibbsbrandlubricant.com
I use Gibbs Lubricant for everything in the garage. Not easily available to me locally, so I really do buy it by the case. Check it out.
and I refuse to allow WD 40 anywhere near my garage or near anything in the garage.
EDIT - turns out I have been using a "SeaFoam" product without noticing. I have been using "Deep Creep" penetrating oil for quite a while without noticing it is a SeaFoam product. Works well for me.
