Rare doesn't necessarily mean valuable or beautiful. At best I would call the bike interesting or different due to the "out of the box thinking" of the frame/tank-combination. But beautiful??  Not in my eyes. But at the end - who cares about my opinion? Only me, I bet...  ::) :LOL: :LOL: :LOL:

First series Laverda caravan looked horrendous and seemed to be a modified cargo carrier/box trailer, the second type (called Mirage and using familiar badges) was pretty much standard fare for the time, PK had one as Slaters were officially UK concessionaires, but (we have heard this before) they were too expensive for a market that could not see any benefit from the extra cash. I have no idea how many (if any) they sold, but for sure PK had one, probably long dead by now I would think, any one know more?

So is the Lav V6... in no way a pretty bike imho.  The prototype, yes.  Well-proportioned, nicely presented.  #26, ratty, tatty old war horse, yet I see grown men with moist patches in their pants, drivelling and raving, especially when Piero gives the throttle a twist.  :D

The Segoni is a one-off, my Bimota with works racing engine is a one-off, just as the V6 (except for Cors' built-from-spares original "replicas"), where's the difference?  All a piece of the Laverda heritage.

The M&T Laverda is another prime example, ugly as fuck, but the motorcycling world would be poorer without it.  Genuinely needs to be preserved.

I never said I like the look of the V6. However, it looks more interesting to me than the Segoni.

If it floats your boat, go for it. It simply isn't mine, it just does not triggers the right emotions on me. That's OK, one potential buyer with enough cash is what it takes to get that money.

I don't think market value of such a bike can be explained half way logically. Just like other collectors items. Maybe that is why I am not getting it... 😉
 
If I was offered the choice of a closed roads lap of the Isle of Man on a Laverda V6 or a Barcelona 500 the choice would be determined on what was important, if it was to show ability to do a quick lap, I would choose the 500, but if it was to have fun hooning I would choose the V6, and I know which way the course goes on the rise up May Hill towards the hairpin!
