SF1 won't select 5th

well I am coming round to the idea of doing the crank. Any recommendations for a place to get the crank do and what it would cost?

Red Cawtes.

I imagine cost would be between £ 1200 and 1500 according to what needs doing and what rods you want.

If you can find someone to press off each end web, this will reveal if any rust or deterioration has occurred to the big end area. The middle roller mains can easily be inspected for rust/damage without splitting the centre webs. If the centre mains big ends check out and the big ends are OK it's not that difficult to press the webs back on and true the crank. When I say 'not that difficult' I mean for a mechanic experienced in rebuilding cranks - not your average job like removing gearbox bearings.
