SF2 Exhaust Flange Question

Rob, this is a different crossover to SF1/2/3. On the bike here the crossover is in front of the engine a'la Triumph etc and totally different in effect compared to the later bulbous under engine one. Hence the flanges cannot be slid up from the rear of the header. See the pic. These bikes had the earlier type mufflers as well.

Cross over pipes, be they in front of the engine or underneath are an integral part of the rigidity of the exhaust system mounting. Taking the under engine box off just makes a healthy sounding bike noisy

Really, Paul?
Yes, I briefly tried it.
The exhaust needed tightening at the head every 100 km. Movement was grinding down the exhaust gaskets. We've been through this often. You need to mount the system more rigidly.
And the bike is too noisy and doesn't incite you to spend 8 hours or more in the saddle.
