No, I’m suggesting that buyers aren’t buying SFCs for top money any more but are buying MZs and Lambrettas.
I overhead an antique dealer saying “ the trouble is all the collectors are dead..” which I think explains a lot.

Cheap shit cool way of disguising crusty downpipes, or a means of creating crusty down pipes from aesthetically ok?

Apparently it seems to work best with a brown leather seat. I fail to see how this combination enhances the performance or comfort...

I found a use for header wrap once, I got full road rego on my 1982 420cc Husky Automatic Enduro bike. They come with a single skin expansion chamber and a tiny, very loud muffler; double skin pipes are much quieter, and I wanted to quiet it down so my neighbours wouldn't lynch me one dark night. So the expansion chamber got a high-tech alloy spray coating that stopped it rusting, then I wrapped it in said header wrap and then I coated that wrap in Fyberglass, that helped to stop dinging the pipe as well and added an absorption-style double the stock length muffler hoping all this lunacy would cut its cackel down, Didnt work at all, it was still just as painfully loud as before but with the added feature of smelling horrable as that Fyberglaass cooked from the engine heat. It stayed like that for a few months till I got sick of that smell, and so I cracked it all off. In the end, I just put up with the sound; it convinced me to buy a 1992 4-stroke TE 350 Husky that was way easier to live with.

Back in the day there were several of us from around USA and Canada racing Laverdas (mostly SFCs and a couple of interesting specials) in the AHRMA series and we'd meet at the events around the country but most often at Daytona.
Here's Larry with his early series SFC which he was kind enough to allow me to ride at one of those Daytona gatherings sometime in the late 80s or early 90s (before digital cameras) - quite a machine!

Might be- it’s the one in the picture with loads of mirrors- apparently concourse restoration with all period accesories. Not my cup of tea but it’s sitting in someone’s lounge now!

I saw someone fall off a Lambretta similarly bedecked. I remember all the glass shimmering in the sunlight as it passed through the air. Quite impressive.
