I take it, the planned strike(-s) every year, the 4 x 4 car project that Fiat won anyway, so didn't sell any, plus the absolute service that Laverda offered, must have drained the gold chest a bit. And the bikes weren't expensive enough... (they were, but maybe not compared to costs in Italy).
