Shims and valve collets

Has anybody got a pair of valve collets and a couple of shims for a triple (SFC1000) they would like to sell?

I need 2.24 & 2.49.

I have some spares 1.22, 1.98, 2.4, 2.41, 2.45, to exchange if it helps (I think, just need to check)

Yes looked at their parts list, no - collets/cotters but 2 shims which I could use with a bit of 'skimming' as a fall back but need the collets most (only need one as I lost one) .
Thanks for the pointer, will keep them in mind all the same.

Thanks Red, I'm sure they are available just finding someone with the time to find them & post them seems to be the problem, seems a bit daft to get them from the other side of the world.

Thanks Clem, I can do that but hoped to find the right size shims & exchange for unmolested ones to keep them in the mix (if there's a shortage ?) but even then I'm stuck without the valve collet (or half cone as described in the parts list).

I may end up buying them from Red!

Sort of, but as I don't have a lathe I tried a bolt faced off with a round neodymium super magnet fitted, which tended to move, tried super glue, no good so added a washer to keep centralised with a plastic sleeve to keep that from wandering about & filled with epoxy.

Works well with the work surface level first and needs an air line to blow the filings away. Used the aluminium oxide abrasive paper in the background & an India stone, finally finishing by hand & checking with a micrometer to ensure it is actually a level thickness.

Quicker than by hand & easier to keep level I think, but I'd rather not do it.
