Side Panels and Tail Piece for Auction - Greater London Area

I hope it doesn’t get broken? They paid £5k all for it. I was surprised at how little the cases and tail piece went for.
I think the price reflects the fact that there was some competitive bidding, I would imagine the machine won't be sold for parts? As you say the tail and cases didn't realise much, possibly both lots went to the same bidder:unsure:

The Laverdamania register is based on voluntary contribution of machine numbers with no documented verification.
The law of averages evens the odds concerning it's reliability, no more.

Certainly a fair result- perhaps the Laverda market isn't dead, Mr Marx?

It isn't, but at £10 000 as would have been the case a little while back, it was.
Maybe it'll incite people to use good touring bikes for.........touring. Come rain, come shine.

Whatever the value of the motorcycle might be I would imagine that quite a few people have bid for it. This can only be good news for the marque because replacement parts will need to be acquired and the interest in these Bikes is therefore kept alive. I have never considered the price of restoring a classic bike, if I’d have done so I’d probably have no classics at all. I would say that another has been saved, good luck with it and I hope it turns up on here🤞

There will only be a supply of replacement parts if the bikes are sufficiently used and worn out, by a sufficient number of people.
