SOLD!!! One of the last... 750 S Formula "Modell 2000"

So I guess Lothar you would consider anyone buying at 3500 euros is getting a bargain, but I think that's a fair price for a 25+ year old bike that isn't viewed in the same light by punters as a SFC750, F500/Montjuic or (Slater) Jota. However, I concede yours is worth a bit of a premium on that price, if only for the rare 5 spoke wheels and, as I've said before, I wish you luck in getting the price you are asking.

I've just sold it for € 7 000 000.

So, you never get your money back on old metal apart from some very special contraptions.

You only get enjoyment for your money unless you don't use your contraption in which case, tough luck.

Am I reading right? 75,000 euro to rebuild a Ferrari engine? What are the parts worth? Or does that 75k include, casting and machining every new part put into it?!! :eek: Are Ferrari pistons made out of a completely different metal than scrap crap like Ross Racing slugs?
 
Out of curiosity, did you get close to your expected price percentage-wise? All that talk about old dying weak cannot ride anymore Laverda people, etc.BTW, that sounds a bit like me. Beautiful, fast well well-looked-after bikes always attract attention.
 
Hi Vince, it was advertised with 8,749€, indicating I was up for offers.

It was sold slightly below that, but without the spare part I still have now and that are up for sale:

-a set of Termignoni including according chip; the original ones cost more than 600€ - each side...
-a complete passenger seat kit with seat in blue, fitting to the bike, the rear passenger handle and -footrests, all screws, originally blistered
-a carbon front mudguard (used, but OK), very light. 3CMoto offers original fenders (blue or silver) for almost 190€... The carbon one is almost unoptainable...

open for offers... ;)

That was a special bike and good to hear you got an agreeable price for it, since the vintage bike market has tanked due to older owners no longer able to ride them and younger riders not interested in them. It's unfortunate Laverda wasn't able to continue building bikes.
Any plans for buying more Laverdas?
