Something you DON'T see everyday in Canada !

There were always tales of feral wallabies on the Derbyshire/ Staffordshire border back in the day. I thought I caught a glimpse of one whilst I was riding home late one night in the late 70s although that might have been due to a more liberal interpretation of the drink driving guidelines which many of us adopted at the time.
I did see a Coypu in Normandy a few years back and managed to get a pic. I believe they've successfully established themselves in many regions across France. They're quite an impressive creature when you see them up close.

I have a photo somewhere of a wallaby I took at Lud’s Church around 1982. So I’m convinced that they were a thing.

I doubt that Roo would have been noticed by any Canadian unless she was J-Walking - Gotta love Palki ;o)

The War of 1812 between Canada and the States was never resolved - The unguarded Boarder is a DMZ Zone ROLF!

No doubt that She-Roo hit the TOP 10 most famous Roo's on the planet and deserves a "NAME" !

How about "Bonnie" as in Bonnie and Clyde or "Lucelle" what are you suggestions "______" ?

The Canadian Super Pig Vs the Aussie Super Roo ?

Just bought a Japanese 2014 Forester Subaru (Super Roo) XT WRX STi Twin Turbo 2L Boxer putting out 270Hp to replace my Jeep on the HWY - Waiting for Mechanical and Licensing ;o)

Off course I'm going to keep my Jeep for a local Grocery shopper in adverse weather and for the BUSH but that Subaru should be a Great Long distance traveler in all kinds of weather to reach a Hospital appointment at my Age ;o)

That Jeep is not very friendly on the HWY and besides I can barely climb into her and most likely fall out of her !

They used to be established in east Anglia on the fens. I believe they were culled as they destroyed the drain and dyke banks.

We also have wallabies running amok in the curragh in the north of the island, and now starting to spread out further across the island after an escape from the wildlife park near Ballaugh A few years ago. There is talk of having a cull as they are eating crops and presenting a risk to motorists. Can’t imagine the fallout if a rider was taken out at the TT/MGP by one trying to cross the course.
Aren't they around at night, rather than day time? I've been going across every year since 1997, and I've never seen a wallabie outside the Curragh wildlife park.

Steve G. ;o)

I'm 76 with a basic CDN pension of $22,500 income per year - A low mileage 10 year old Subaru Forester XT WRX STi is all I can afford for the time I have remaining ;o)

I rode hundreds of motorcycles until I was 70 but kept my 70 750 SF0 Breganzie to the very end.

Ron

I trust that 2014 Subaru has more mileage left in her then me ;o)
