South Dakota Sturgis Bike Rally

Legs: Unless you have ridden a HOG, I suggest you keep your yap shut because they are a splendid ride, I had one in 75/76, an 833 AMX(F) FLX Harley Sporster other wise known as the "Skirster" (Actually the Harley Davidson Co. was bankrupt back then over the influx of Jap Bikes) . She could not approach the top end of my 70 750 Breganzie but very well handling with lots of torque in the mid range. Really a joy to ride within confinements of posted speed limits. Great light to Light City Ride and some country asphalt.

My riding Buddy rides an 82 Harley FHWX 1300cc Wide Glide and believe me I had to keep an eye on him so that he did not get out of range of my Breganzie.

I talking decades ago - Today's Harley's with the Evolution engine and new frame  can destroy any Breganzie ever made.

The thing is Harley never could make a descent Cafe Ride.

No need to get uppity Ron, it was a joke and yes, I have ridden a Harley, that's why I don't own one. ;)
If you want to get abusive you have come to the right address, dish it out and standby to receive. ::)

Got you Legs, Harley's are not the contributing factor to American Stupidity - Right now Trump is probably the most dangerous factor on earth. He's higher on the polls than his twin brother Putin - So he thinks ;o)

With you there Ron, my quip was aimed at the people who ride the bikes, not the bikes themselves. each to their own.
And agree with you with regards the POTUS.

Ever have the situation where a Harley Rider looks at your Breanzie and wish they had Guts to mount one.

Granted a Breganzie is a pig and a piece of shit under 30mph that would sooner fall over when parked just looking at her; but after 40mph shes a dream up to and over 120mph down any straight. Not too shabby for a twin of that area.

Not even a Norton 750, a Ducati 750S or the 4 Cyl MV Agustia could beat the Laverda Breganzie 750 Twin and Kawasaki 900 and 1000'nds tried during the 70's.

Today you have too be your own mechanic as no modern mechanic will love the Breganzie 750 twin.

Rest my case.

Shit! My Windows 10 is updating right now - Wish I was back on Win7 !

Well I'm back after that forced Win10 update and nothing appears to be broken X my fingers.

78jotadave: "I have been on the front line the past 5 months working as an RN in an acute care facility"

You have my absolute attention and admire you for your bravery and services as a true Hero - But heed Laverda Forums is not conducive to COOF discussions !

I never mention the COOF - Get it - I could be demonetized or even expelled ;o)

None the less I did rather insinuate.

Jim: The COOF and Cancer isn't going anywhere soon ;o(

I doubt any American or an Aussie knows whom the hell is Paul Tracy.

Ron, thanks for your response to my previous post your input is always a good entertaining read. I have removed my posting, this is not the forum for discussions related to politics or religion. Stay safe everyone, Cheers Dave, p.s. Tina, I hope the track stays dry for the GP this weekend.

What a complete load of bollocks.
Harleys in the UK are used for motorway or farm work and maybe getting married on. But they do come complete with a naff wardrobe

Paul Tracy was a World Class Canadian CART Racer whom attempted F1 and did win a few F1 races but the bottom fell out over sponsor support.

Jacques Villeneuve is another story a true dauntless F1 dare devil whom lived and Ayrton Senna died.

I personally met Jackie Stewart several times, Graham Hill and Sterling Moss.

I did acquire a reputation because I would not allow a 1000 Kawasaki to best my 1970 Bregasnzie 750 SF0.
Off course a 1000 Kawasaki would demolish me off the line in the 1/4 but I was not that far behind after that - "It's Racing".

After that 1/4 mile and you have the Guts to do over 100mph carving corners and passing Kawasaki 1000'nd in the first corner left and right 3 at a time is very rewarding,

"Pure Poetry Kill" and them Kawasaki's are dead in the water as I'm just getting up to speed between 7000 to 8000rpm on a twin ;o)

Something I can no longer do at 73 years old.

At lest I'm still alive to report my Motorcycle days.

PS: Just amazing how them 2 little 750SF pistons work - Word of advice - You have to be a mechanic with a racers heart.
