Stud Washer Into Cam Chain Tunnel

I found a valve collet when I drained the oil of a 916 Ducati- phoned Ducati ( still in warranty) they said it couldn’t be from the engine as it would have blown up there and then so must be “ droppage” .
Blah- Blah stripped an F650 looking for a dropped rocker cover dowel...under the bench all along, oh well.

It really is incredible where things that have COMPLETELY DISAPPEARED (read X-Files stuff) reappear ... I have some tales I could tell!

Coke can in a new Highly Dangerous!! Love it! :ROFLMAO:

I firmly believe every workshop has its Black Hole in which stuff vanishes, only to reappear in exactly the same spot you left it 5 years earlier.

Following up on my lost cam block washer. I got a quality articulating bore scope and located it deep inside on a steel bracket right above the sump. Perhaps one of you can tell me what it is; oil baffle?

I broke the tip off a magnetic pickup rod, and taped it carefully to the tip of the scope.15 nerve-wracking minutes of faffing later that felt like operating while wearing boxing gloves, and then the sweetest little *clack* when the washer found the magnet. Then extract ever so carefully lest the damn thing fell off again.
