Superb RGS FS in the US

You serious? Apart from orange triples with Jota badges, the rest are sinking into oblivion.
Apart from the ones with GSXr wheels which Suzuki collectors will buy for the wheels.

Well, when I see Corsa price discussions  Just bought a sfc wannabee for three times nothing to replace my normal road bikes for the next Course de Côte ;)

When I consider what I think a Breganze bike is worth today I tend to look at what I would have paid back in the 80s and apply inflation. Unless it’s something exceptional, I’m not going to be paying any more for it. It also is for me a reasonable guide to whether a bike is cheap or not.
However, that doesn’t apply to my Formula 500s which must be worth the same or more than a common or garden SFC750 😜

Find a Ducati single or an Aermacchi for the course de côte and keep the barges for the motorways.

Formula 500 prices have gone down the drain. Expect to pay less than £10 000, probably a fair bit less. They've become unusable, road or track. Legislated out which is the way all the rest is going. They're not even London to Brighton eligible.

After almost 40 years of continues Laverda ownership it was the first time i drove a 750 and I was surprised they handle like a moped compare to a 3c from 1976 on. At 1.90 I don't need smaller... and it replaces my 100 which was well under powered

There was a brief period where Lavs seem poised to skyrocket in price the way vintage Ducatis did. I'm glad that for the most part they haven't, because nobody rides their $20,000-plus "collector" bikes. I mean, did anyone take note of the 1973 Kawasaki KZ900 that went for something insane like $52,000 at the January Mecum auction in Las Vegas? Cool bike, to be sure, but 52k? Absurd. That bike will never get ridden. If it does it will be for show off and the owner likely won't know how to ride it and will crash it within feet of taking off.

It was a load of rubbish and is now an expensive load of rubbish.

It's not for want of repeating it.
750s are THE Laverda.
🙂

I have been offered a ride of around Australia Graham's twin, he insisted I ride it to the Bellagin Rally but riding other bloke's bikes for days on end scares me a bit so round the block will do me. I definitely don't need another MUST-HAVE Laverda itch.

If beautiful machines are acknowledged to be rolling pieces of art (and they are), why are we surprised when collectors treat them as such by rolling them into galleries/garages? Isn’t that that the inevitable result of money chasing scarcity?

NAH! 1200TS's are the way to go as long as you can live with the poor fuel consumption,
cheap as chips, no one likes them, very capable long distance in short times (witness London to Danish rally last August) comfortable, agile, great brakes with 4 pots and 320's, a bit noisy on Jota pipes but flat as a witches tit on Lamfranc's
