Wrong thread - the aussies don't care about NZ.

Truth is, this govt has opened up the housing market here to anyone with money...Between the Asians, the yanks and the Aussies buying houses as investments the working Kiwi can't afford a house now....
And there's no incentive to go to Oz for work now as we're definitely not friends, just another unwanted immigrant nation.

Oh, and her whole family moved over here at different times over the years - don't hear any complaints.......................
( I know the tide has turned and the opportunities aren't here like they were, many now going the other way, but that's due to economies, not friendships,,,,,,,,,,,)

Bit Harsh knackers  :o got family and friends over on the nth and sth Isle  8) But hey dont put the general Aussie public to the sword just because our respective governments behave as they do  :-[

And Ron..... you got plenty of mountains you can go climb and watch the world sink around you  :P :P  head for the hills young man !!

Back on subject, one of our top players, old man just got deported back to NZ  :( and after Tigers win last night a few of his mates came into the dressing rooms and performed The Haka !  8)  The Tiger team were rapt  ;)

Fair enough...but I'd point out that your govt works like ours, if there's no votes in it, they won't do it. I'm given to understand that enhancing and actually honoring the old "close relationship" is likely to be a vote losing action. Hence the deporting of kiwis we're seeing. I have no idea how the average Aussie feels about it as AFAIK no one's asked one...
I guarantee if we started deporting aussies, there'd be a gunboat in Wgtn harbour quicksmart.

You can however keep Russell Crowe.
 
The only Kiwis getting deported are those who have strong criminal associations, ie members of criminal gangs such as the 1%er's or have attracted a sentnce of more than 12 months for some criminal activity they were found guilty of. And it ain't just Kiwis. All foreign nationals cop the same. And all I can say is good riddance.
 
Convicts being deported to a far off land? That was our bloody idea.

As for opening up the housing market, not sure if that is such a great idea. A few make a killing, the many end up struggling to afford their first house and may resort to the bank of mum and dad. Ask me how I know?
People are bailing out of Londons astronomical prices and coming to my neck of the woods with cash in their pocket.

Now I'll get a fine for not filling out the form .... I won't pay it, so I presume I'll see you other blokes with the same problem, in jail.

Well, I thought it was a moral that it would be a struggle to get on the website tonight so didn't even bother. Will just do it in the next few days........................
 
Fuck them, did it once, not my problem now. I'll see them in court.
