the ugliest bike

But do modern bikes need to be so obscenely fugly?? Surely a more conservative packaging would make many novelties a lot easier on the eye. Seems everythings needs to exude "aggressiveness" instead of just being "nice" these days.

Maybe we're just not the target group...

The huge success of neo classic bikes would tend to contradict that.
As for aggressiveness, that's particularly true of modern cars, right down to the names of the things. Apart from new Beetles, new Minis, new Fiat 500s and soon new Renault 4s.

Aggressive design and quasi-military styling seems to be an American thing.
They don't have exclusivity on that.
Just look at the front of Audi, BMW or Volvo SUVs.
Designed to scare the shit out of the preceding driver/rider and reassure it's own driver as to his invincibility.

Reason being they are all designed with same software parameters instead of being designed by slightly effeminate middle aged Italian with an ink pen on a drawing board.

I describe this styling as "A Transformer throwing up." Not just Kawas all bikes that follow this angular design of plastic panels that hid ugly bits behind ugly bits. IMHO really, really ugly.
Go ahead a pounce.
That's why I bought an old Ducati Monster. Was in the market for a light, nimble and relatively modern bike to hoon around the Adelaide Hills. The choice was between modern 'Transformer' (very apt term) or retro styled bikes didn't do anything for me.

In my slightly archaic view on the esthetics of a real motorcycles they should:
  • Be aircooled (oil coolers may be accepted depending on…)
  • Have twin rear shocks
  • A round headlight
  • Have carburettors
Then there’s also attributes of personal preferences, like a style weighted towards a purpose for racing, brands provenance and other foolish things. But the above bulletpoints has to be met.

Obviously a Concept vehicle BUT; IMHO This "thing" will only see the light of day only between the transport vehicle and the convention center. Puts me in mind of the FORD Edsel.

I have heard this car failed because it reminded people of "lady parts" and not MANLY parts. 💪
Looks like one of Elvis’ pink Caddies jumped the fence one night, fucked the neighbours Woolsley and the resulting bastard got pictured taking a dump on the grass at a car show.

You also need to see daylight through them.
