I had noticed alot of what i would have called flutter with my front axle while riding and also had problems with the brackets splitting etc. I did slightly beaf up the inside of the brackets when I repaired them. But I also fitted one of Red's forkbrace's around the same time. No more flutter and haven't seen any further splitting or cracking of the brackets.
