Twin dynamo replacement

Hi all
Some of you have chosen to take the alternator route as a replacement for their dynamo.
I'm looking for a small item which can output amps, let's say, in the 100-150 watts range.
The topic here is not about power output but compact alternator(s) suggestion.

I think Chris K fitted a little mini thing to his SFK. I swear by my GPX1000 Kawasaki ND alternator conversion. I run it at 1.75 x crank speed, and used a Gates belt - no idea if a V-belt wouldn't just spin once on load. Not a simple fit though, as I weather proofed it while retaining some air cooling.

Ignore the filthy motor - std cover still fits but chamfered the inside front edge a little.

Nice setup.

Chris told me that he faced problems with his tiny thing.
Iirc he swapped it for a GSXR item.

It would be a lot easier fitting one of the solid state regulators. I'm getting good results from one of these https://www.dynamoregulators.com/dvr4.php

Have you tried to 'from iphone straight to smaller file via email' method, Chris? If I take a pic of the spesh (for the tome I'll put together on its creation one day ... soooon?) I take the pic, select the upload or fwd icon (a rectangle with an arrow pointing skywards, then choose 'email' hit send, (asks for a title - not important at this stage) choose the file size (i go for around the 100kb) then send. From emails I save it and then attach it into the forum if that's what I wanna do with it. Once downloaded I delete the email.
 
I saw a replacement alternator in Germany a few years ago that was fitted to a triple (ground clearance reducing) and it came from a microlite aircraft. lovely little thing but maybe a bit on the dear side, he said it did the job well, might have been Hansi Hoppe, but haven't seen him in years.

I later spotted what I thought was the same thing when I bought my mini digger about 30 years ago, when I lift the bonnet on that (I still have it) I often think that it looks a useful little thing and would work on a bike very well. There are plenty of those min diggers getting broken up now, so that could be a source of a used one and also..........
