Upgrading 750 SF2 front brakes

Was just adapting a pair of unthreaded calipers. Machined the new mounting surfaces parallel to the other sides. Took from about .002" to .012" to match the ends and make them flat. Haven't installed yet. Probably need some spacers.

I already had the time-serts installed. Then I noticed the surfaces were not parallel.
This way I could solidly bolt to the factory mounting surfaces. I drilled holes in the bolts so I could plunge the end mill straight down. Thought the end mill might catch the time-sert coming in from the side. The fixture was indicated to within .001" X & Y.

Nearly 20 years ago, I switched out the Brembo 08s for 40mm-spaced 4 POT Brembos on my Jota. It was an extremely easy conversion thanks to the availability of GuzziTech caliper adapter brackets, which worked perfectly; they are no longer available, but they do come up occasionally on eBay. My old Master cylinder was not suitable for the 4 pots, so I bought a new M/C from Steve at Bevel Heaven, the same shop I obtained the GuzziTech adapters. A fantastic setup; love them. I have a pair for my 1200; just got to stop being a slacker and fit them. A bit more work because the Jota had Marzo forks, and the 1200 has the good forks, Cherries.

Thanks guys,
So far I’ve installed an upgraded Brembo m/c from Bevel Heaven, put 2 direct lines to each caliper and EBC thinner organic pads to fit the thicker Malcolm Cox rotors, and the braking has improved. I’m looking into if 4 pot Brembos from an Aprilia will fit, and yes, larger rotors would also help. A friend has a CNC machine to make mounts if needed.
