Vacuum Gauges

Carbtune Pro - cheap, easy to use, no mercury.

I hang my set upside down, lets me have a more accurate reading at low vaccum.

Recently bought one of these (it is a bit of a revelation). The inertia of the stainless cores keeps readings very stable and as mentioned the unit is accurate and simple to use..

Tim, Davida do a neat set of 3, I've got them, and whilst not all flash and arty, they work well enough for my humble needs. Funny when I was ordering them, the lady said she'd do the normal set of 4 for the same price.."that's what most people do, then you just have a spare.." I told her if it ain't a triple (or twin), it ain't in my shed... :D
Ciao

15 of so years ago when I bought my set of Davida gauges the woman said exactly the same thing, so I took a set of four (i.e. a set of three with a spare...).

:)

Rob, you must have got a good set. I bought the same ones in '92 and they were complete junk, never worked worth s...
Sold them on and invested in a set of Boehm's, never regretted the investment :D

Sounds like it Gerald, maybe they're the kind of thing that's copied even down to the bad spelling or perhaps the product was improved. I've used mine 4 times this year as I've done a lot of carb work and they do me fine, still have the spare gauge and only 2 windows. If in doubt, I even swap 1 & 3 vacuum pipe to check .

Try the warranty :)

Rob,

They drove me nuts :o Tried to balance the carbs on the Morini, didn't work! borrowed a set of Boehms and the job was done in minutes.
Then decided to help a friend synch the carbs on his Yam XJ 550, even had the special rod to slide thru the carbs, didn't work.
Borrowed the Boehms again and you know the rest of the story....

Regards,
Gerald
