I may end up riding my GS BM and take all the dirt option most of the way.
Way more fun than riding at 90km/h to Denmark then 110km/h up the inland road watching out for the filth.
Have a dodgy battery in the motodd, have to use a starter pac to crank it. Don't have a shop down the road to buy another.

If you want to order one in Perth Rob, I'm happy to pick the battery up and bring it to Dumbleyung.

Thanks for the offer Terry, the issue is finding a battery that will fit the battery/electrical box and needs to be either lithium or AGM as it needs to lay flat.
Also it's a warranty senario so needs to be sent back to NSW for replacement.
I will do my best to come on the Motodd. Shame the SFC isn't registered otherwise I'd come on that, could swap plates with the 1200 but not keen riding on 20 year old tyres. Plan this year is to recommission the SFC and get it to Collie for a tuning day.

New battery, Rob?

Nope, left it on charge for 24 hours and it showed 13.5v, started the bike no worries and been starting the bike every morning since.
Problem is it slowly looses charge so if I don't ride it for a week it wont start. Once this w/e is over I'll be sending it back east for a replacement.
At this stage not sure if I'll go with another Lithium or with a AGM. Went to a lot of trouble to get the Motodd down to 200kg wet so not keen on adding another 10kg of battery.
Sanded more off the edge of the tyre so now have chain clearance. After a fang yesterday the chain nows need some adjustment so will see if I can tweak the wheel back into alignment and maintain chain clearance.

Any chance of some photos of the riders? I know Rob, and I met Mike recently at the scenic rim rally, but I'm looking forward to meeting other Laverda owners shortly.
