Bringing this up to date.
No street race at this year's Burt. They've managed to get a national roadrace title round as part of the week. Which ties up Teretonga friday-Sunday. So no window for a street race on the usual Sunday.
I suspect it's something that might happen every 5 or 6 years as the National guys don't like coming all the way South these days.
Given the low turnout at the GP i just hope Venture Southland is covering any losses for the club.
 
That’s a shame, it was a good watch. Plenty of spectators too last year, I wonder if they’ll get the same spectator turnout for consecutive days at Teretonga.
Inter-island travel isn’t getting any cheaper either, although it can’t be worse than interstate in Oz?
