What a great piece of history. Gorgeous bike! This one excites me so my triple will be for sale as soon as it's road ready.
80 km riding around aimlessly today.

History, maybe, but a very capable bike nearing 80 years of age with a spares back up far superior to that of Laverda. What a great piece of history. Gorgeous bike!
In the UK you always meet an old boy that “ sold a Vincent for a fiver…”. I can honestly say I’ve never ever heard of anyone one buying one for a fiver. In fact I had a customer with a Black Prince and he was offered a straight swap for a brand new Mini in 1962- the Vincent was already eight years old- not many eight year old bikes are worth the Same as a new car. Anyway here’s a pic of a relative of mine at Donnington on a works Vinnie. This one excites me so my triple will be for sale as soon as it's road ready.

which does everything better than my triple, except excite me. So no new bike on the horizon.

Make a stock of cylinder heads.I am actually looking for a CB350K0 project to have ready whenever I find the triple too much of a handful.
My Dads uncle- Ginger Woods, 1938A relative what?

Don't worry about that.Paul, I’m sure the Vincent owners forum will be looking forward to your unbridled optimism regarding all things to do with motorcycles
Tom
I particularly enjoyed your articles..Don't worry about that.
They even have an article for the magazine to keep them happy, just like the numerous articles I've written for the ILOC mag. Time to do another. When the time comes to keep a club afloat, there's nobody there.
Is that optimistic enough?

It's already got an electronic ignition though a magneto is a fine system. A French ignition at that.I particularly enjoyed your articles..
“ Fitting electronic ignition to a Vincent”
“ Margarine or straight 40w?”
They said it was going to be cooler, today.
Either they lied, or I'm getting too old for this sh**!
Changed the rear tyre on my Triple.
Sweat drenched, but it's done.
The new formulation on the Bridgestone BT46s seems to do as suggested.
This after 9,200 miles, somewhat less worn than the previous rear:

Compared to the previous BT45, at 6,900 miles:

Good news is the BT46 is a lot less sensitive to white lines, when worn, than the BT45
Gotta love Roger.........ooh ahh a track day!Front tyre, today it was cooler.
Old tyre had done 9,000 miles. Probably had another couple of Ks worth of tread, but I wanted new for Brands Hatch, next month.
