It was a 1984 Suzuki GSX-R1100 for me. So long the Breganzie Triple ;o(

140+ mph down about any straight.

Too FAST & Dangerous for me with my light 5'11" 136lb frame.

That GSXR was a loner ride in trade for my SF0 at the time where the owner of his Suzuki could not beat my SF0 road racing in the Cambrian Shield - So we Traded Bikes for a Summer.

In the long run; he hated my Bike and I hated his respectively, AS IF  ;o)

If you ever talk to Millen Gill - This a true story.

Gotta say I never have gone faster on 2 wheels then that GSX-R1100.

Must say modern rides will clobber the GSX-R1100 keep in mind the hay day of the Breganzie and when I was young enough to handle these machines.

Attempted to tell Millen to make Breganzie to Go Fast it's all about technique - He never got it. - Head strong student bent on power which he could not handle  !

He sold his his Bike and never road again - I Loved that Bike - Wish I had a chance to buy her no matter how much I feared her ;o(

Always wanted a Mirage or an 850 LeMans but can't say I did not go wrong with a Breganzie 750 SF0 ;o)

In my opinion, Millen was a young inexperienced want to be Motorcylist's with money to spend whom bought a 2 wheel Hot Rod and had no experience to handle her.

The deal was if he crashed my SF0 I owned his GSW-R1100 and Visa Versa - I really hatted giving up my SF0 that summer. The deal went well,  we did not damage the bikes.

What an opportunity to ride a Super Bike other then that I do prefer a right side heel toe shifter ;o)

My younger brother?s McIntosh Suzuki with ex-Roger Freeth Yoshimura race engine in it.  It was the first registered McIntosh and had so many goodies on it.  Went like stink as well.

Ran my Hayabusa up the local dragstrip 11.2 quarter - 160 mph odd before I chickened out - was fast enough - Tokico brakes were never that good - the last versions had Brembo radials !

Very subtle bike to ride - you could ride it really slowly and then if you dropped the throttle the delivery was very smooth and linear not actually that scary but that?s a lot of weight  :D

I remember as a nipper seeing him race at the Hamilton lake circuit in NZ in the early 80's , I think from memory it was a demonstration race or something like that.  Trying to search it, nothing comes up on google though, so I will ask MNZ. I mainly remember it, as my father did a lap of the circuit on a side car to make sure the track was clear before each race. We met Roger then, Pretty awesome guy. The circuit was a really good road circuit, and a lot of us in the early 90's used to lap it late on Friday and Saturday nights  until they put speed bumps almost all the way around, and closed the lake front road with barriers at night. Once they did that we used to do midnite runs to either Auckland Taupo or Tauranga, to keep away from the fuzz. Do you think his  aerofoil Yamaha TZ750A , was way ahead of the game with wings on gp bikes and now on road bikes..... his seemed quite extravagant for the time

Granted you can claim the Hayabusa Turbo to be fastest but your missing the point !

I may forgive a Ducati Panigale input - Just Dreaming ;o)

So you mounted the Fastest Bike you could afford and state your age at the time - Let us know ?
 
Ron,  what the fuck are you talking about,  do we now have to me mind readers or do you really want to know some other cryptic info?  you sound like a 16 year old girlfriend in a mood but no one is allowed to know why until they guess.

Now a Hyabusa is a motorcycle is it not?  What more does he need to write?  or do you mean,  What's the fastest bike you ever rode but don't make it faster than me cos I want to be the hero here.

Ah!  OK.  I once rode a Putch Maxi at 50mph, Darn scary but by christ at 8000 prpm that thing could still show a clean pair of heels to a Kawasaki H2  (as long as it was parked at the time)   

Amazing I lived to tell the tale really considering what a hero I was.  (Don't worry, I'm not any more so you can still be the only Hero in the Laverda village)

I am with you there Jooles, but then this is normal for Ron, it might be that what he means is, what was the fastest bike you rode in the year XYZ or when you were XYZ years old.

The fastest bike that I ever rode without a shadow of a doubt was a turbocharged Hyabusa, but I didn't actually ride it that fast, probably not even over 80MPH, I think that the fastest ride that I have ever had on a bike might have been a 1936 Velocette KTS, but I am not talking about top speed.

The highest speed that I have ever ridden a bike at is...............oh God that takes a bit of thinking about, probably my son Davids Fireblade, which I did have flat out for a good minute or two, absolutely nothing left, not even another kilometre, and backed off long before I had to, never went that fast on Toms very fast GSXR750, but Jesus 140MPH came up so quick you could miss it in the blink of the eye.

At one time Steve Winterton was claiming 165MPH for his Laverda special named "Massimo" I think that must have had a high lift speedo.

I rode this Ex Johnny Cecotto TZ 750 down my quiet side road - it had just started snowing - stupid quick when it hit the powerband - neighbours didn't appreciate the extremely loud scream from the exhausts. Think it was 3rd at Daytona one year. - merry Christmas to all - Phil

Not only in the early 80's did the Japs best the Italian 3 Cly Breganzie engine with the Suzuki 4 Cyl but they also stole the frame.

AKA: The Suzuki GSX-R1100. Good By Laverda ;o(

No denying the 73 Breganzie Jota 3Cyl is, with out a doubt, the 1st Super Bike.

I'm just weeding through a confused 73 year old mind whom loves Motorcycles and mounted them for over 50 years and still alive to say so.

You have to consider I bought my 70 Breganzie 750 SFO brand new some 2 years before a Jota was born and why my SFO looks strange to you rivet counters. She's 99% clean take a minus or plus ;o)
 
Sweet 16 to me is a FN Belgium (Bar Maid) Acier Special 16 Gauge John Browning designed Auto loading Shot Gun - Man you got a lot to learn.

In dear terms "My favorite Gun" 4 digit serial# FN Sweet 16 dated around 1921 ;o)

What's the +: To be Relieved ;o)

I've done 170 mph on 4 wheels in a 72 Dodge Challenger, if that means something.
That Dodge was not exactly stock ;o)

I know nothing about a Breganzie Sweet 16 - Unless she's a Herstal FN serial# on her.

Suggest you stick around and learn something useful from experienced Breganzie Motorcyclists about how FAST you can go on 2 wheels.
