Just got my top crankcase back from the welder today, die grinder time tomorrow. Then putting motor back together. Wasn't a problem with my first 3c when I was 20 years old, but I guess I've forgotten a bit in the last 45 years. Good thing I've got smarter in the meantime, just ask my students :.
But when it's back together I'm planning on doing the Blue Ridge, NALOC people duly notified. So I guess that's sort of like riding to work.
And, I used to ride my 3c across Tampa Bay every day for years. I couldn't keep up with the BMW drivers who thought speed limit signs were advisory only (if they actually noticed them at all, doubtful), but I SMOKED them away from the lights.
