Out and About on your Laverda. No bull,Just photos

SF2 ready for the next trip. The Amicale 750 Laverda rally in Burgundy. Engine tuned, timing was way out, carbs tweaked, K&N air filter cleaned, oil changed, slack in the steering bearings taken up, new pair of tyres.
Took this photo on the way to filing the tank.

I'm rather perplexed that your timing would be 'way out' Paul. The whole argument you push endlessly is how reliable points are. Or did you not set them last time? Curiouser and curiouser ....

Points are very reliable. I always carry a 12 V bulb when I'm on long trips.
But, the timing does move, notably, the points gap closes up altering the timing. So every year, between 5 and 7000 km usually, I set the timing. Anything surprising in that?

Paul, very envious of your ability to go on long rides, particularly like the photo in front of the hay paddock. Are there any restrictions due to COVID currently operating in France?

Thanks

No, not surprising I guess. But that's the reason i ended up ditching mine for a modified late 70s Suzuki electronic as soon as they became commonplace - I just hated knowing that as soon as you set them, they started to go out.

Et pourtant....it's the same with carbs. Set them up nicely and 300 km later, you can feel that they're off.

Apart from having to justify the fact that you're vaccinated or have a recent negative test as soon as you go out for a drink or meal or cultural visit, no restrictions. We've had enough over the last two years.
Approaching 60% of the population is vaccinated.
You gets what you paid for.

That being said, we'll see what happens when all the joyful holiday makers come home.

Paul

It's class as exercise but you must stay within 5ks of your home and with no fraternizing Confurmed by Hazard on another local forum. You can ride to food shopping and medical appointments as well.I will be doing the same in the next day or so hope I can remember how to ride

Taking a ride on your Lav is definitley a valid reason to be out of your home ,but I don't think the authorities would agree,
Here we are allowed Lee, same as riding a bicycle for exercise.
In fact, way safer for everyone concerned than riding a push bike, with all that panting and sweating going on.
Full helmet and gloves, no contact. (y) (y)
And even a short ride is great for your mental health, what are we now? week 8 or 9..... lost count... dont even know what day it is FFS:)
cheers
Tom
