Apparently, Mass education was supposed to be the answer after WW2 and what happened then with propaganda. But we still have major issues even with said Education of most populations and Stupidity is still everywhere. Kind of Scarry.

Actually it worked pretty well for many years, right up until it began to make the youth question authority and the entrenched powers that run things. That’s when it began to be watered down, now they teach the propaganda in the schools as in Florida today.
The is also the argument that the purpose of school is to create compliant, trainable workers and consumers and that anything more than that, like critical thinking, is subversive.

Ssshhh! They’ll close your bank account….😂

I remember getting into trouble at high school for refusing to attend compulsory (Christian) religious education classes (yes, that was still a thing when I went to school in the stone age). I had applied a bit of my own critical thinking and decided I was an atheist at quite a young age, and wasn't interested in their religious fantasy, mythology, dogma, propaganda, whatever you want to call it. On one occasion when I got caught ducking the class, I got sent to the headmaster to get the cane (corporal punishment was still a thing back then too), but he knew me and my parents quite well (he was a neighbour) and deferred punishment until he'd spoken with them. Fortunately, my parents supported my decision and gave the headmaster a written instruction that I be excused from all religion classes. So I was allowed to skip those classes on the condition that I spend the time doing private study in the library. Teachers would occasionally check that I was actually in the library rather than mucking about outside, so I'd have a copy of Charles Darwin's The Origin of Species open on my desk, just to make a petty point I suppose.

I'd often argue with teachers whom I considered stupid, but only when I could back up my argument with research. I must have been a supercilious little shit and a pain in the arse to some of my teachers at high school, which I regret. They were just doing the best they could at a difficult job. There were other teachers I respected and got on well with.

There was an easier way to get out of those classes.
A female friend of mine, at eight years old, pointed out to the priest that, because of convection, heaven would be "hotter than hell".
The priest threw her out of bible class and told her to "never come back!"
So much for forgiveness.

My theory about Pommie twins being better suited to a twisted crank than an SF/C can be seen clearly clearly in that vid. The pistons and crank pins are so close together with their (inferior) two-bearing cranks, that the rocking couple is much reduced c/w a four bearing SF/C crank with the wide cam chain drive in the middle as well as two middle mains. The MAP billet crank looks the goods there.

My next 'experiment' (when time permits!!) is an SF crank made up of triple centre webs, loaded with Mallory metal to allow the centre webs to do all the counterbalancing. Neutralise (ie 100% balance) the outer webs. Should reduce rocking couple considerably.

One wheel too many ....... although you were allowed to drive these on a motorcycle licence at one time , so it kinda counts .... not sure if that`s still the case ......

Always liked the Bond Bug , great looking little car ... I guess Reliant hoped it might tempt some young riders away from two wheels .... It`s also the correct colour for things that go fast , isn`t it , Laverda people ... ? ......

Amazing what some people can nail together in their shed ....... When the guy who built it ( or finished it off ) goes wide - eyed when flooring it , then you know it`s a job well done ........

( Although bear in mind a best of only 11.2 seconds for the standing quarter , which is still a second slower than the standard road going bike ... ) .....

So we all now know what to do with our overweight triples when infirmity fully robs us of the ability to hold them upright.....(although I may be using a Peel 50 rather than a Bond Bug).

Andy ....... You might find an abandoned one on the IoM ? ........ Wasn`t quite what a P50 was at first , then I realised in was the car ( ? ) that Jezza Clarkson drove around the BBC in ......... You`ll never get a Hayabusa in there , or a 3C ..... maybe a RGV250 .........

I think that with wheelie bars it would do considerably better. Hard to see it putting down the power without flipping over. It looks like great workmanship on this build: I’m glad I live in a world where there are people mad enough to create such things.

Dunno how many Laverda owners live and ride in , or in or out , of Greater London .......... Twins and ( most ) triples can be classed as Historic Vehicles and escape the £12.50 per day charge ( for the moment ) .......... Zane owners ( not to mention Ducati 916 ; ZX9-R ; early R1 etc. ) , not so lucky ........

How many forum members in the London area , riding these bikes , will be paying the extra £ 12.50 ( or maybe £25.00 if you`re travelling in and out ) per day ... ? .....

I've got the 'Historic' exemption on my Laverda and my Mini.
It's £12.50 a day, cars (inc. 5.3 litre V12s) and motorcycles (inc. 49cc Honda step-throughs).
Riding/driving from 23:59, one day, until 00:01, next day, will cost you £25!
