Cool Videos

Thats posted by me, his buddy posts similarly including a $100k Nukel bought recently but with some religious drivel as well. Watched the Goldwing last night, the fire was hilarious. I thought it was not happening till the end.

A video clip from a TV series ....... Brian Blessed , probably best known for shouting a lot , displays his breathtaking ( literally ) acting talent here .....

You could assume it to be freeze framed , but it`s not ....... Augustus passes away at 1:50 ....... This is the second take .... the first time a studio light blew right at the end , so he had to do it all over again ......

A shame they cropped the end , where Livia says to the newly arrived Tiberius " Don`t touch the figs ... " ......

As it`s a Duck , then it`s not really cool :) ....... but ......

He selects launch control ..... max level , I suppose , ...... the bike tells him to get into gear , open full throttle ..... and then engage clutch gradually , and go ......

It may be just me , but all launch control seems to do is let the engine bog down ( revs drop from 11,000 down to 6,000 on initial takeoff ) ......... Surely to get the best time you would try to keep the revs up around the 11,000 mark , by slipping the clutch ....... unless he failed to release the clutch " gradually " , thus causing the revs to drop .......

Without that bogging down , surely 0-100kph would be around a more reasonable 2.8 seconds , instead of the relatively lethargic 3.4 seconds he recorded here ......

Maybe the best way would be to switch off the launch control , keep the revs up and slip the clutch to buggery , using the wheelie control ( assuming this is a seperate function ) , to prevent him ending up on his back , with the bike disappearing down the road , on it`s own , on it`s rear numberplate .....

Is not rocket science.

Lots of revs, slip the clutch a tad and utilise ‘wheelie control’ (that is, clutch lever back in a tad), if the number plate gets a little too close to the road.

I doubt it would make any difference having more revs/power on, because the wheelie control is trying from the get-go to keep the front wheel on the ground. Such a sensible road motorcycle ...

A son of mine has one of those. Not sure I'd like to try it.
He's selling it by the way.
A top level racer friend says that there's no skill involved, just set all the anti whatsits and open the throttle.

A mate and I did this also in the rain in 1989 heading home from the first Philip Island GP on my 3c, great fun till it rained. Never got out of 1st gear for the last 90ks with constant front-end slides on road tyres. Learned how important weather forecasts can be.
