Out and About on your Laverda. No bull,Just photos

Lynmouth bike night, glorious weather, cracking ride over the moor and completed the loop by going other way home about 60 miles all told.160 plus bikes turned up, mostly new stuff but some nice oldies. I met a young lad , 24 , with a Guzzi T3- gave him as much encouragement as possible as that’s how old I was when I bought the Guzz. Picked up the gong for best in show to top the evening off!

This SF3 only had 4400 miles on the clock (in 50 years) when I bought it. Now it has 500 more. I'd take it abroad again in a flash (or after I get the timing as it really should be). Thanks to the roads and the weather (just pre-heatwave) and especially to my great pals in Brittany.

Where are such ultra low mileage examples whenever I'm looking for one? I guess the trick is NOT to be looking for something specific but to be open to "opportunities" when they show up unexpectedly.......... but I don't recall that happening either! C'est la vie. Lovely looking motorcycle Julian, you lucky chap. (y)

I think I was looking for at least 6 months, a lot of the time on carandclassic.com, before I saw this one. I'd had Laverdas in my 20s, and of course they're unforgettable. What eventually clinched it was that when I saw it, I measured the bars and they were 76cm wide which is exactly the width of my front door...

Of course it was pretty as a picture too. I doubted the mileage but, having talked to Richard Slater last week, I believe it – he had the bike in a corner of their yard for 25 years! Keep looking, good luck 🤞

Gratuitous shot because I like the light and makes the bike look clean!!
Lake is still full.
(& yes, I know the right blinker has a temporary case of limpus dickus, apparently happens to the best of us............)
Edit - meant to add, Hope to do a quick spin to that white peak in the back ground for a look around and see what it looks like up close - more later....
