Cool Videos

The last time I ran into CJ was on a Bells Line of Road ride to Lithgow a few years ago. He had a very fast, modified modern Indian. He still goes around corners fast. I haven't seen Crispin in ages.

Are CJ and Crispin the same ?

There was a Perfect Corner with CJ pictured in Red`s workshop ......... I`ll try to find that ............

.... still looking for that , but in the meantime ...........

Credits say CJ AND Crispin .......... I`m still a little confused ..... ( nothing new there ) ..........

The curse of the sub-titles returns ..... thought I`d got rid of the bleedin` things ............

PS ..... I think I may have got it now ........ CJ is CJ ........ and Crispin is the younger mechanic guy ? ...... Is that right ?

Crispin was the money, entrepreneur type; CJ was the personality. Crude descriptor by me. A fun pair to hang out with. Crispin bought a space frame kit and raced it locally in Oz.BTW, CJ is what you might have called a typical Aussie; what you saw in the videos was a caricature.

I like in the spaceframe video . Piero gives that fairing support a whack with the blunt end of the screwdriver ...... " yeah , ok " ...... CJ just looks on ..........

Also , lining up the fairing .... Piero seems less concerned about symmetry , more about bar clearance ..... " Not the same , from the original " .... :) ...........

Glad to hear CJ is still around, and with enough zeal to be chasing women :)

You're a brave man Vince. It sounds as if you're saying their women are better than yours. I could imagine your other half being a little miffed by that statement.

At 1: 12 there is what appears to be a RGS ........ but on the side cover it says RGA 1200 IE - Ignition Electronic .........

Was this someone`s special creation ........ As far as I know , RGA`s were cheapo RGS`s ....... and both came with 120 degree engines which were all 981 cc ....... there was never a 120 degree 1200 ........

I tried to see if it was rubber mounted , which would mean 120 degrees from the factory , but couldn`t make it out .............

The fairing looks as though it may have twin headlights ....... not the single rectangular headligt of the RGS fairing .........

The RGA Jota here in the UK had a Sprint Manufacturing ( I think ) twin headlight fairing to replace the standard RGA`s CX500 style headlight flyscreen .

That'd be Batto's (Steve Battison, mastermind behind the SFC917 that one the oz Post Classic Champs) creation it actually says 'iniezione elettronica' - EFI, built and developed by Batto himself. Q uite a few other tricks on that beast. Can't answer re the 1200 question. Batto will be along any minute!
