Of all the bikes NOT Laverdas that have done a Snowy Ride with us GS BMWs top that list. They can go pretty quick in open sweepers and the occasional dirt bits, huge fun chasing them in that but lately, both blokes have taken their Laverdas. Obviously, modern bikes are crazy fast but to me, lack smiles per ks compared to my Laverda. It can be just as much fun slightly under-lisance-losing speeds as well. To the bloke moving to Queensland try and find a Laverda from Redax, probably more accurate to say most have been to that shed at some time in the past. The Queensland club is a good place to find a bike to buy. Full blow Redax Laverdas are very quick relatively speaking.
 
We had one turn up on a Snowy Ride, apparently bought out of a Museum in Pommyland.Very late model. It arrived with a well warn rear tyre for a 4-day ride, it showed canvass on day 2 and ended the next 2 days on the support trailer sadly. Sounded and looked fantastic, haven't seen it since again sadly.

Chris, I reduced the Laverda collection by one and added the Guzzi to the stable.
RGS, 1200 and now the V85TT provide a pretty good balance and all put a grin on my chops 🏍😁

  • Original clip-ons replaced with something a little less fragile. Comes with originals
  • Professionally resprayed (original NOS decals from 3cMoto)
  • Race pipes and chip
  • Pillion seat panel / grab rail / original bungs for single seat conversion.
  • Have the spares that came out of the engine during refresh, including old pistons that look ok. Gaskets, original clip-ons. Maybe, somewhere, the original exhaust collector box before the race pipes went on.
  • 3 previous owners. I have owned since 12Aug2010.
  • No issues but, being critical: the tyres are barely worn but manufacture date is 2016. The single seat cover doesn't match the spray colour because the paint shop lost my original.
It really is almost pristine. I don't think there is even a stone chip. I'm based in BH24, UK. Happy to take more photos or have a chat with anyone who would like further information. PM your number and I'll get back to you.

my 31 year old pan European will do anything that a Beemer can, is more fun and more economical, 70MPG at 80MPH, try and beat that, plus 300+ mile range, cheap as chips to buy and maintain, no stars or brownie points in the one upmanship/status stakes, which doesnt bother me.

yes Andy but I dont have a parka with the union flag sewn to the back and a white open face lid with an RAF roundel on the side (whats all that about anyway)

80MPH cruising Andy, realy? and 70 MPG? again realy, impressed if correct, it will still get chucked over the side if on an IOM ferry at TT time.
